For vacuum based valves, an OEM Valve Delete Box is recommended for models that go into limp mode after exhaust systems are installed. 2 units are required for each vehicle. There are 2 versions available. Use VIN to verify before installation.

And with the valves closed, back pressure can be maintained at low revs, preserving the torque that is usually lost in straight-pipe exhaust systems.
